Snap a quick photo and email it to me (hello@distinctroom.com) within 30 days. I will sort it out with a free replacement (or a refund if you’d rather). Easy.

What if my order never shows up?

If your package takes a holiday and gets lost in transit, I will send you a new one. No extra cost, no stress.

When will I get my money back?

Once your return lands back with me (or you show us proof it’s on the way), I will refund you to your original payment method. Usually within 14 days, but often faster.

Can I swap for another design instead?

Not directly. Since everything is printed on demand, the quickest way is: return your poster → get a refund → place a shiny new order.

Are your posters considered personalized?

Nope! All designs are my own creations, not customer-customized. That means they are returnable under EU law. If we ever launch personalized prints, those would be non-returnable (but we’ll make that super clear).

Falling is part of the climb

Around 2017, I somehow managed to make a really good track. Like, actually good. Future bass was peaking, I had caught the wave right on time: lush synths, clean drums, a cool drop, melodies that made sense for once, and… a royalty-free vocal. You know, the kind that everyone has access to. Royalty-free, baby. Free as in trouble later.

So, naturally, I did what any young producer with too much hope and not enough sleep would do: I started sending it out. Big labels, YouTube channels, blogs. Honestly, I was submitting tracks so often you’d think I was doing customer support for my own dreams.

Now, big labels get thousands of demos every week. The odds of your song being heard are... small, to put it politely. But then one day…

I got an email.

From the head of A&R:

“Hey Marian, are the vocals original or are they taken from a sample pack?”

And that’s when my soul briefly left my body.
OH FOR F^%#@ SAKE I thought. The one in a million chance, and I fumbled it with a $0 vocal pack.

I told the truth, of course: said we could find an alternative, re-record, whatever it takes.
She never replied.

I was crushed. Like, full main-character devastation. I thought that was it, my one shot, gone because I couldn’t afford a singer. But some time later, after the melodrama wore off, I realized something that hurt even more… and then it started to make sense.

Everything, in time

Thank God that song didn’t happen.

Because I wasn’t ready. I didn’t know how any of it worked. Not the industry, not branding, not consistency. I had the sound, sure. Finally a banger song, sure. But no idea what to do if someone actually said yes. I would’ve blown it in record time.

Everyone’s in a rush these days. Someone’s always “ahead,” someone’s always “winning,” someone just bought their third property at 25 and calls it mindset. Good for them. Really.

But potential doesn’t work on their schedule. It doesn’t sprint, it climbs slowly, stubbornly, step after step. You build it in silence, in the parts no one posts about, in the days that feel like standstills. That’s the thing about climbing, it looks like nothing’s happening until you look back and realize how high you’ve gone.

You’re just still climbing. So keep climbing.
