My poster arrived damaged. What now?

Snap a quick photo and email it to me (hello@distinctroom.com) within 30 days. I will sort it out with a free replacement (or a refund if you’d rather). Easy.

What if my order never shows up?

If your package takes a holiday and gets lost in transit, I will send you a new one. No extra cost, no stress.

When will I get my money back?

Once your return lands back with me (or you show us proof it’s on the way), I will refund you to your original payment method. Usually within 14 days, but often faster.

Can I swap for another design instead?

Not directly. Since everything is printed on demand, the quickest way is: return your poster → get a refund → place a shiny new order.

Are your posters considered personalized?

Nope! All designs are my own creations, not customer-customized. That means they are returnable under EU law. If we ever launch personalized prints, those would be non-returnable (but we’ll make that super clear).

Unpaid labor

Mercury’s that friend who’s constantly “on the move” but never tells you where they’re actually going. You look at it and think, “Oh, cute little gray rock,” but then it hits you: this thing orbits the Sun faster than anything else in the system. Eighty-eight days.

That’s a full year. UNPAID. Worse than internships.

They named it after the messenger god: Mercury. The fast one with the winged sandals and zero chill. And it fits. The planet races around the Sun like it’s delivering divine gossip. Meanwhile, half of its surface is boiling at 400 degrees, the other half’s colder than regret, and somehow it’s still pretending to keep it together. Hot, cold, burned out, frozen. All in one rotation! Talk about a 5 for 1 deal.

Loyal to a fault

There’s no atmosphere. No cushion. Just raw exposure. The Sun hits, and Mercury takes it. Every flare, every ounce of radiation, every meltdown. No protection, no distance. But here’s the tragic poetry of it: one day, the Sun will expand and swallow Mercury whole. Billions of years of devotion, wiped out in one cosmic inhale. The one that stayed closest will be the first to go. Talk about loyalty to a fault. Burned alive by the very thing it couldn’t stop loving.

Still, Mercury doesn’t care. It keeps circling, unwavering, blazing past the other planets like it knows what’s coming but refuses to flinch. Because maybe that’s what love, or purpose. really is: staying close to the fire, even when you know it’ll kill you.
